: some people think that schools should reward students who show the best academic results , while others believe that it is more important to reward student who show improvements. Discuss both view and give your opinion.
People have different views about what kind of students should gain scholarships or rewards. Some people support that students acquire the excellent academic results deserve worthy rewards. Other and my self suppose that it’s is more crucial that schools should give valuable gifts for students who show advanced improvement.
On the one hand, there are some justifiable reasons why students with the best learning results have better be achieved a scholarship. Firstly, it is more competitive in classes when rewards are given to the most superior student. As a result, it is able to encourage others students to attempt to gain exceptional attainment. Secondly, the financial burden deriving from rewarding for a number of students is likely to reduce. For example, if schools glorify a number of students who put continuous effort, a determination in the study through monetary rewards in lieu of giving it to the minority of the best students, it could make difficulties to maintain other activities such as teaching costs, facility fees.
On the other hand, I think students making a great academic progress should be given rewards. Naturally, it probably makes a great contribution to alleviate intense pressure for students. As to achieve the excellent results, a student needs to study a wide range of subjects remarkably and maintain results for a long time. Meaning that students are likely to suffer from stress and studying intensively, and then they are inclined to be put at a great risk of depression or autism. Moreover, if students spend most of their time to study, research, they perhaps do not have more time to take part in extra curriculum or recharge their battery after nerve-racking study time. From that, some diseases such as obesity or mental illness could ensue.
In my conclusion, I think not only the student with the most admirable academic results should be rewarded but also students who have a crack at improvingtheir performance need to achieve rewards..
