government should pay for the course fees for everyone who wants to study at the university .to whAT extent do you agree or disagree.
it is irrefutable that government provides funds for university students in the form of scholarship, that is very beneficial for not only students but for the economy as well. On the contrary, it is detrimental in other ways and thus, I would consider it to be both a positive as well as a negative development. In the following paragraphs, I will argue both sides.
Education plays an important role in the development of an economy. Every government-sponsored various scholarship schemes to enhance the enrollment of students in the universities. It is a welcome step as it fulfills the dream of many poor students who give up the idea of pursuing higher education due to financial constraints. On the other hand, parents need not worry about arranging funds for their child's higher studies. They can utilize their savings to increase their standard of living.
Despite the benefits, I believe that the adverse repercussions of providing free education to university students cannot be ignored. The government has to bear the whole cost which eventually enhances the taxes. Ultimately, the people of the country have to pay more out of their income to increase the revenue of the government. Another reason for disagreement is students sometimes do not realize they need to concentrate more on their studies if they are getting it for free rather losing interest in studies. Many students give up their higher education and start doing jobs to earn their livelihood. Hence, it will affect badly the government's initiative to enhance the number of students getting a higher education.
In Summary, I would like to reiterate that the government should provide free education to needy students, which definitely helps in improving levels of education in the country. But this initiative suffers from various disadvantages. However, the government can adopt such methods of providing free education that its advantages outweigh its disadvantages.
