School teachers are more responsible for social and intellectual development of students than parents. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
It is true that children are the future of our society so social and intellectual development of children is of paramount importance. There is a raging debate where some people believe that school teachers are more responsible for the social and intellectual development of students than parents. In my opinion, I disagree with this statement as I believe that guardians are more responsible. I will elucidate in the below paragraphs and present arguments to support my opinion.
Since children have more attachment with guardians so it is easier for parents to understand the weakness of their children from an adolescent age and play a pivotal role in the overall grooming. The method of teaching is also self-styled and based on the capability of each individual which makes it easier for children to understand. In a recent study published by Scientific facts magazine, it was mentioned that children from a juvenile age tend to imitate and learn the habits from parents.
Similarly, on the other hand, it can be noticed that teachers play a supporting role due to the fact that they spend lesser time and have less bonding with children. In schools, students need to adhere to the rules and regulations which enables them to learn basic attequetes which contribute to the overall development at a juvenile age. To elucidate in a recent survey done by Economic times around majority of people said it was the parents who inculcated moral and ethical values in their children but the teacher played a supporting role in grooming such values.
To conclude as per the arguments and examples mentioned above parents play a pivotal role in the social and intellectual development of children which can help them in becoming better citizens of tomorrow.
