Finally, the author puts forth the idea that instead of using money on Amtrak, government should spend money on the more popular transportation means. In contrast, the lecturer's stance is Amtrak is not popular between people because it is outdated, and government should spend more money to enhance this service. The lecturer illustrates that people in Japan and Europe use the Amtrak a lot because it is fast and modern.
