The professor, however, refutes all of those explanations.

To begin with, the author of the reading claims that archeologists are not finding any evidence of existing wires or conductors adjacent to vessels, so it is not make an electricity. Nevertheless, the professor opposes this claim by mentioning that the lack of presence of ant wires or conductors, it is not firm evidence to deny a whole battery. Maybe because local people excavate a battery in order to excavate by archeologist, wires are ignored. Also, villagers throw away this wires or break them.

Secondly, the substance simultaneously find in a Seleucia, and Seleucia's people utilize this clay as a hold scroll. Consequently, it is not a battery. However, the professor maintains an opposite opinion that this similarity do not prove anything. Also, people after utilizing this clay, understanding that if put some liquid and add metal, they can make electricity. Therefore, they use electricity as a final goal.

Third, the reading states that ancient people do not need electricity and it is useless. The professor, however, cast doubt on this claim by stating that people of those times believe on magic, so perhaps use this electricity as a particular vigorous and power or apply electricity for healing. Now doctors and surgeon use the shock that made by electricity as goal to cure sick people.
