a decline in reading the literature
In contrast to reading passages, which emphasizes on the reason and consequences of reading less litrature, the lecturer disagrees with all the points made in the reading and comes up with own idea about the decline of litrature reader. The lecturer disagrees with the passage for three reasons: creativity of other books, cultural impact due to decline of litrature reader and quality of today's readers.
First, according to the reading since litrature reader is decreasing it will have a direct impact on creativity among people. However, the lecture disagrees with this claim. The lecturer says that other genre are also creative and high quality. According to the lecturer, the reading has overlooked the quality of non-litrature books, rendering the unwarranted assumption that this will lead to decrease in creativity of the people.
Second, the reading states that due to decline in litrature the value of culture is decreasing. Nevertheless, this assertion is rejected by the lecturer citing that other non-litrature books are as well related to culture. Moreover, the lecturer bolster his claim saying that decline in litrature does not mean decline in culture because other forms of entertainment like music also have pleanty of cultural values in it. Furthermore, this forms of entertainment have direct impact on culture.
Third, the reading points out that the writing and reading of litrature is decreasing because of the poor standard of today's reader. But, the lecturer claims that the decline of litrature is not due to the poor quality of readers but it is because of the fact that today's writer does not write in a standard quality. This causes decrease in reader of litrature. To corroborate this claim, the lecturer mentions that modern author's writing is very difficult to understand.
