The reading passage mainly states that private collectors of rare and important fossils are becoming more and more and this way has not a good result for both scientists and the general public. On the other hand, the professor refutes the author’s view and he believes that even though has negative impacts, but these reasons are not acceptable.
First of all, the article asserts that by increasing public collectors, people don’t access to see and which significant fossils in the public place such as museums where they don’t allow to view them. In contrast, in the listening, the speaker points out that there are more locations available where people can go there easily and use them such as library and public school that they have not limited.
In addition, the text claims that scientists need to access more to fossils to consider them and uncover important issues on them, however, by enhance private collectors, they will buy them to another people, experts cant not explore what happened in the past such as extinct animals. On the contrary, the professor argues that at the end of the process of buying and selling the fossils, it will be available for scientist and this is not problem.
Finally, the reading saying that people who are not familiar in this method, they start to discover digging materials that might not be valuable and worthy or they miss and left some important parts of fossils, However, the lecturer discusses that this way is not complex and everybody can find them, therefore, it does not need expert people and don’t damage to fossils. He also believes that most of fossils are in a same locations and they don’t miss some of them.
