In the set of material, both the reading and lecturer talk about the sleep troubles and its solution. The reading claims that over-the-counter medicines (OTC) are safer option for the sleeping trouble. However, the lecturer refutes this claim by explaining the its side effects and discussed how dangerous it is.

First, the reading assert the point that incomplete-sleep is a natural problem, the same problem have observed in all mammals, birds, reptiles and fish etc. The sleep trouble causes unconsciousness, inactivity in voluntary muscles which results in inability to react stimuli, so in short it has many disadvantages but the article says that we can eliminate this by consuming OTC, this is much safer option. However, the lecturer says that insomina state is very harmful and if the person is experiencing this, then it is important to discuss with your health physician before taking any self-medication from over-the-counter. The over-the-counter (OTC) are dangerous and it has side effects.

Secondly, the article posit that a little alcohol will induce sleep faster. In addition to it, the article points that the prescribed sleep aids is the last option because many prescription sleep aids are not safe and person gets addicted to it, this become habit and may cause dependency for long time. In contrast, the lecturer says that, it is necessary to talk to doctor for the treatement of good sleep habits, advice for change lifestyle. The discussion with health physician may result long term benefits.

In conclusion, the lecturer effectively casts doubt on all the claims and theories presented in the reading
