solution to prevent the spread of toads

Essay topics:

solution to prevent the spread of toads

The lecture and the passage discuss about three ways to control the population of the toads which harms the crops. Although the passage claims that by building national fences, capturing toads and developing a virus the toys could be destroyed, the speaker refutes these ideas through number of reasons which will described in this report.

First of all, the passage point out that by establishing a national fence the toads could be prevent to spread and it blocks the moving of them to the australia. The professor, in contrast, rejects this idea by claiming that the youngest toads could move through the fences and these fences are not effective solution. In addition their eggs might be placed in 2 sides of the fences and the eggs which are in country side could grow either. So this idea cannot prevent the toads from moving to those parts of australia.

Furthermore, unlike the passage which states that the toad could be captured by voulenteer people and the australia government should organize a campaign among citizen to join this work, the speaker argues that untrained people could harm the native species of country such as frogs and their activities might be harmful for environment. As a result, this solution is not a perfect idea to control the spread of toads.

Finally, although the passage says that researchers could develop a virus controling the toads population, the professor disagrees by mentioning that this idea might has a great consequence. by developing a virus original habitat could be harmed as well as situation which was happened in america. an infected animal which were transported to america polluted other species and resulting a devistated in population of animals in that environments. Therefore the idea of developing virus is not a reliable solution to control the toads’ population.
