The reading passage suggests that decreasing the days of work will increase the company profit, decrease the unemployment and also give an opportunity to employees enjoying their life more. However, the lecturer cast doubt on each of the author's idea.

First and foremost, the article states that if the working days will decrease, the salary of workers would decrease by 20 percent which will save the profit of the company. On the other hand, the lecturer made a counterclaim to this point by saying that the company should hire more workers in order to not harm the intense of company which requires them to create more space, add many more computers and also spend more money on the health insurance of workers which will not decrease even though the employees work four days or five.

Secondly, the reading passage indicates the changes will help to reduce the amount of unemployment by hiring more workers. In contrast, the professor argues that the company will not prefer to hire new employees because it may harm the company profit as he mentioned former, some of them offers to their employees to work for an additional hour instead which will not affect the rate of unemployment.

Lastly, the reading passage suggests that employees have more free time to spend it with their loved ones or on their personal enjoyment things if they reduce the number of days spends at work. The professor refutes this point by explaining this will reduce the quality of workers' life and may harm the chance to advance in work. Moreover, according to the professor companies will prefer to have a five days worker instead of four days because they have more chance to develop and stay stable at work which affects the mind of workers.
