According to passage, some companies in US should offer four-days work as an option for employees, since it will have lots of advantageous like slowing down the unemployment, cutting down the cost of companies , decrease the error which are made by full-time employees.
The professor plays role as an opponent against this logic by comparing some points which are proposed by the passage. Fist he said :" hiring more employees never cut down the expenditures and in contrast it will increase, since the companies will need more offices, spaces and even training more numbers of employees.
Secondly, He pointed out that if this kind of option be taken into account as a efficient solution for what, has been pointed out in the passage it will frustrates some other employees which are going to work in more hours or , unintentionally they have to work, since they will think as they work for 5 days of the week , nothing more is done when others work in 4 days of a week.
An at last the professor added this fine point which says, instead of thinking that giving more hours to employees will be useful for them, somehow we encourage them to step into a dangerous path which is more harmful for their future careers. Because some employees need to earn more skills and knowledge, and being in a constant situation will lead them to lose their job one day.
