The author and the professor both mainly talked about the painting which is called Portrait of Elderly Woman in a White Bonnet painted by Rembrandt. The lecturer have explained that the picture was truly one from Rembrandt and refuted the main points made in the reading passage. Lastly, the lecturer told that someone putted extra pieces of wood to enlarge the space to draw more. In the reading passage, the author thinks that Rembrandt was famous for using wood panel. Actually, the recent research has shown that the pieces of wood are from same kind of tree which are used his famous painting “self portrait with hat”.
In conclusion, the professor says that this painting was made by Remtrandt.
