The lecture mentioned that many scientists had arguments about the points mentioned in the passage which prove that dinosaurs were in fact endotherms.
First of all, discovering dinosaurs fossils in polar region does not necessary prove that dinosaurs were endotherms, this is because back in the days these polar areas were much warmer than now a days. In specific part of the year these polar places were warm and when the weather become warm the dinosaurs could have immigrated or hibernate.
Secondly, The passage talked about the connection between endothermy and the position of the legs. The legs of all modern endothem as well as dinosaurs are positioned underneath its body. This body structure support more weight which allowed the dinosaurs to grow to larger sizes. large sizes were beneficial for dinosaurs. So having the legs underneath the body not on the side as other non endothermic reptiles does not prove that dinosaurs were endothermic.
Thirdly, The passage also mentioned the connection between endothermy and the bone structure. The bones of endotherms usually includes structures called haversian cannals, Which were truely found in dinosaurs fossils, but scientists also found growth rings in the dinosaurs bone structure which indicate periods of time when there were no growth or much slower growth and that mostly happened in cooler periods. In endotherm mammels there is usually consistent growth not very rapid growth in some periods and very slow or no growth in some other periods.
