The reading and the lecture both about the biography of chevalier de seingalt, in which he conclude about his life. The author of the reading believes that it is impossible to write a memoir accurately, while the lecturer casts doubt on the claims made in the article. She thinks that it can be obvious that to write a book with out any question, if they exact answer to you by the evidence.

First of all, the author points out that, the book shows it, this man is so rich and had a life style in abroad. It is mentioned that if he was a wealthier person then, why he needs to adopt cash. This point is challenges by lecturer. She says, he sailed his one of the property to get some cash whether this plot is in Switzerland, which shows the evidence that he was an handsome money man.

Secondly, the author of the reading contends that the conversations could not be written as it was going at that time. The articles notes the talking, held between Voltaire and Chevalier, it should not be perfect because it took a lot of evidence that define or point the dialogues to explain as it is.The professor rebuts this argument. She suggests if a person can write down his whole day story in the same night, he may remember all his activities, the way he done. In addition many of his mates and neighbor gives also the prof for this argument.

Finally, the author states that in his biography, there is an explanation about him as the prisoner. The article establishes that he ran off by the roof from the whole of the ceiling, but some criticize that he rewarded one of the jailer to release him. The lecturer, on the other hand, points out that it is already told to every body that after he escape from the jail, there was maintenance of the roof and ceiling. She puts forth the idea that if he bribe someone, so why there was a sustaining process occur in his jail room.
