Reading and listening set out to clear if application of hydrogen fuel as an automobile's source power instead of oil fuel can be a good and suitable solution or not? Although reading says this is the best way because of accessibility of hydrogen, avoiding pollution providing and economy issue. In the lecture professor refutes all three advantages of hydrogen fuel rather than common fuel. According to the professor its weakness to outweigh strength points.
First, petroleum as the most common part of internal engine is a limited sources instead we can find and earn hydrogen in many things such as water, natural gases and .... In the lecture professor refutes and argues that there is some truth in abundance of hydrogen sources but hydrogen can't be utilized in its original form. Preparing hydrogen to be used as a fuel need a states change and make a pure liquid of by a very difficult expensive process.
Second, reading says that burning oil fuel produce ear pollution gases such as carbon dioxide so using hydrogen fuel avoiding ear pollution by avoiding bad gases production. In the lecture professor argues that hydrogen purring process to product fuel base on hydrogen need oil and coal burning which this in itself product carbon dioxide.
Finally, the reading passage argues that fuel-cell become economically and people intend to spend less money to operate fuel-cell engine. Professor argues that fuel cell building need platinum - a rare expensive metal- which react with hydrogen to produced electricity. According to professor this drawback of expensive Platinum make cell- engineering less economy.
