TPO-13 - Independent Writing Task Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The extended family (grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles) is less important now than it was in the past.Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
Nowadays, family relationships have been getting desperately insignificant in spite of the fact that the extended family has positive effects on people's lives because they are our first friends and playmates. Unfortunately, I firmly think this view is correct and will discuss my reasons in the essay.
First of all, people have become busier due to economic issues and changing priorities in life. So, they have a little leisure time and prefer to spend that with their children and wives. For instance, while I was single I had great relationships with my nice and nephew, moreover, I visit them every day but when I got married and after that, I am a father of two kids my life changed I have become busy even I do not have time to see them once a year.
The second reason that supports my viewpoint is that modern technology makes moving around the world much easier than used to be. Therefore, immigration is getting common among people. As a result, some members of the family live far from others.
The last reason, new generations prefer to live on their own and choose people around them freedom also based on their personalities and attitudes towards life in order to spend their time with people who have something in common rather than their aunts, uncles, and their children.
In conclusion, according to above-mentioned reasons, I would say that the new lifestyle was encountered many changes one change is the roles of the extended family is faded.
