The reading states that there are doubts whether the painting of the woman with a white lien cap attributed to Rembrandt and provides three reasons for support. However, the professor ignores the idea and refutes each of the reading's reasons.
First, the reading stats that the woman in the painting dressed a white lien cap, but the luxurious fur collar is not compatible with the servant. The professor ignores this reason by saying that, researchers found that the fur collar was added to the painting 100 years after and perhaps someone wanted to increase the quality of the painting, and the original painter was Rembrandt.
Second, the essay says that the light and shadow in the painting do not fit together while Rembrandt was master in light and shadow, the lecture states that the light color in the original painting is very realistic and the light was added after Rembrandt.
Finally, the reading clarifies that the painting was painted on several pieces of wood which is unusual in Rembrandt's paintings, the professor, refutes this reason and says that the original painting was on single wood.
