Conversely, the lecturer holds the view that this type of glass act like a mirror and flying birds can be confused when seeing in the mirror reflection of the trees and sky. Therefore, they try to fly through the window and injured.
Second, the author claims that architectures can design glasses by painting some colorful lines. On the other hand, speaker dismisses this claim and says that by doing this, birds can see those colorful strips like some open holes and try to fly through them. In addition, he mentions that in the case of those open holes painted so small, rooms can be so dark for people inside the building.
Finally, the passage highlights the fact that some magnetic fields can be used in the buildings to direct birds in a safe path. In contrast, the professor finds this way dubious and refutes it. He asserts that birds use them only for long distances, for example when they migrate from cold to warmer fields before the winter, and they utilize their eyes and brightness of the light for their short trips.
Therefore, it can be easily inferred that none of the one-way glasses, magnetic fields, and painted glasses with colorful strips are not a proper solution to prevent birds from harming, and those are as dangerous as regular ones for flying birds and injured a great number of them every year.
