TPO 48 - Integrated Writing Task

The reading passage explains three possible solutions to the problem of decline in the number of frogs population. However, the professor states that these solutions are not practical and she gives three points to support her claim.

At first, the reading suggests that the a mount of pesticide which is used in agricultural activities must reduce because they are harmful for the frog habitats. On the other hand, the lecturer contradicts the reading's recommendation because farmers rely on pesticides to protect their yield and if they are restricted by law to not to use this chemical substance, they undergo severe difficulties.

Additionally, the author of the passage points the use of new treatment to kill fungus which are the factor of the dehydration of frog's skin. While, the lecturer says that if we want that new treatment works, we should do it for each individuals frog. Moreover, this work must be apply for each new generation of frogs. That is why, this treatment is not only arduous to apply but also too expensive.

Finally, the reading passages asserts that human excessive use of water destroy the potential habitats of frogs. Therefor, lakes and suitable water should be protected to prevent decreasing the number of frogs. However, the professor accuse global warming as the cause of this reduction and she says that we cannot prevent global warming by protecting water and habitats.
