The reading passage and the lecture have conflicting opinions about whether or not living in Asteroids will be the best choose rather than Moon or planets like Mars. The article strongly postulates that conquering Asteroids have a plenty of upsides. On the other hand, the listening adamantly delineates that colonize this kind of space object is extremely risky and have a large number of downsides.
First of all, according to the reading, landing an Asteroids will be much more immunity due to the lower gravity and it is the way to carry more equipment. However, the lecturer disputes this point. He says that lower gravity presents risk such as people will losing muscle mass and end up with health problem.
Secondly, the reading states that Asteroids have a treasured elements and estimable metal. Nevertheless, the lecturer refutes this argument. He argues that returning back this kind of rare elements will be more expensive and its cost will drop as soon as landing on the Earth.
Finally, the reading claims that Asteroids are effortless to reach due to the fact that occasionally they are closer than Moon. On the other hand, the lecturer believe that it will be complicated return. Yet, Asteroids move away and its distance becoming far away than planets like Mars.
In a nutshell, although the reading and the lecture both about Asteroids, the three main points made in the reading are effectively challenged by the lecturer.
