TPO INTEGRATED 17

There has been some debate among scientists whether the increase in the humans population cause decline in the birds  population. The lecture claims that the birds population  has been increased by the increase of the humans population. However, the reading refutes stating that there is decline in the birds population.

The first point of dispute is if the birds natural habitat decrease with the increase of the humans  population. The lecturer says that in the urban and suburban places people are developing better and larger habitats  for many types of birds. In contrast people in these places are complaining from the increase of the bird population. The reading contradicts this point saying that the increase in the humans  population leads to vanish in the birds habitat.

Another controversial issue is if using  land for agriculture cause decline in the birds habitat. The lecture contends that the increase in the agriculture is done by increasing the use of more productive crops, not by the use of more lands. But, the reading refutes this point stating that for the agriculture activities  to keep in pace with the increase in the humans population,  people are using birds habitat to plant more crops.

The final point of dispute is if the using of pesticides decrease the birds population. The lecture says that the people todays are aware with the consequences of using pesticides. So companies tend to use  two different types of pesticides. The first one is the less  toxic one. The second one is pets resistances one, which is less attractive to birds. However, the reading opposes stating that birds are easily affected by pesticides either by eating infected insects or by drinking contaminated water. That lead to the decline in the birds habitat.
