Both the reading and the lecture discuses buzzer, which is a term refers to anew tactic the commercial agencies use to attract customers to buy their products by hiring individual people to act as buzzers. The reading discusses three points that are against this tactic. however, the lecture refutes every single one of them.

First, the reading states that the consumers should know that the buzzers be paid for promoting certain product. For the big diufference it would make to br truthful and not misleading. The lecture opposes this. By sying that, this is not the truth. The companies tend to hire people who utilizes and know the product very good. Unlike the paid celebrities who can appear reading a few lines about the product, the buzzer can tell the truth about the product he or she used. Which is the phone line in this case?

second, the reading states that the buzzers are pretending to be private individuals, so the consumers will be less critically to their presentation of an item. The lecture refutes this point by saying that the opposit is true. People ask more questions to the buzzer about the price, the service provided by the phone line and how long it has been used by the buzzer. If it is not right for them they will definitly won't buy it.

Lastly, the reading states that buzzer tactic is harmful to the social relationshps. It will be the reason for the mistrust and dishonesty. The lecture opposes this point and consider it stubid. it states that if the product is known to be bad so no buzzer will be hired to promote it. If the consumer try the phone service the buzzer prootes, they will love it. So, people who try it and see its benifits according to the information they already got about it this will reflect the truthfulness and openness to people.
