The bar graph compares three different call types – local, national and international, and mobiles spent by the people in the UK for the period between 1995 and 2002. Local, national and international calls could be made by fixed line whereas mobile is considered for all types of calls. Overall, the minutes on calls increased throughout 7 years except for the local calls.
It is apparent that, the most popular type of calls amongst the UK was local call throughout the projected periods. The local call shows the parabola line where it reached its peak of 90 billion of minutes in 1999 and it dropped to about 70 billion of minutes in 2002, which number is same as those in 1995. The national and international calls used by the UK citizens showed the steadily incremental to show the smallest gap in the year of 2002 of around 60 billion of minutes. The preference of using for national and international calls increased by more than 1.5% (from 35 billion of minutes in 1995), whilst the mobile phone usages have skyrocketed to reach at more than 40 billion of minutes.
