it is irrefutable to say that, the transport system is the true picture of a developed country and it shows how advanced a country is. Some people believe that the government should focus more on building a better transport system with the latest technology, while others opine that developing the new roads is the most important. I am inclined towards building an advanced transport system.
Firstly, an increasing number of vehicles on roads are causing pollution, which further leads to add value in global warming. In addition, an increased number of cars, trucks, and vans on roads is also one of the reasons for road accidents which takes hundreds of lives every year. For example, the number of road accidents in Singapore is less than in Australia. Instead of focusing on building roads, the government should focus on the transport system.
Furthermore, a good transport system will not only be cheaper than owning a car but it will help to keep the environment clean. The government should provide a good transport system for the commute to its citizen because this is the only way a government can reduce the number of other transports owned by the people. For example, if a local transport of the city will be fast, punctual and cheap than people will not buy cars.
To recapitulate the foregoing discussion, developing an advanced transport system is important than roads for vehicles. In my opinion, the government should focus more on local transport than building roads for vehicles.
