W: Jimmy, do you have a minute to help me out with my English paper?
M: [Preoccupied] What? Oh, I’m sorry; what did you say?
W: Hey, what’s wrong; you look pretty stressed out?
M: You don’t want to know.
W: What do you mean?
M: Yesterday, I was proofreading my history paper, making sure everything was perfect, when my computer crashed! I can’t believe it. It feels like a joke. I tried starting it and it won’t work. My laptop won’t even turn on. I spent two months working on this paper and now it’s gone.
W: I’m so sorry to hear that. What are you going to do?
M: I still have all of my notes and I remember most of what I wrote. I don’t think it’ll take me too long to write it again, but it’s due this Friday and I don’t like working with this kind of time pressure.
W: I don’t blame you. Hey, why don’t you take it to the school’s technology department?
M: Why would I take my laptop there?
W: Well, the Tech. department has a lot of students majoring in computer programming and engineering. They’re good. They even have a computer student service station.
M: Really?
W: Yeah.
