I disagree with this statement. Family has this long and lasting influence on an individual. Parents are our first teachers. Through words and deeds, we adopt behavior patterns, learn to be polite and establish our own belief system. The most important lesson we learn from our family is to love unconditionally. We receive love and affection from our parents and then pass it on to our kids. Somehow, my mom said that the traditions and the affections would be our legacy when they are long gone. You know it is so such for me that I have a very loving family as my safe net.
