The lecturer mentions two important changes that happened through industrial revolution in 18th century in some countries such as England where the new technology of steam power machines were used to produce goods. First change is that the center of the production moved from homes to factories. For example, cloth had been produced by hands in homes before the revolution but it was wove by new machines more efficiently and faster after revolution. Moreover, cities formed around factories because workers were hired to operate the machines in the factory which was made in a village. Then, people migrated from country side to villages and after a while the villages changed to bigger cities. So the cities spread out the factories.
