The charts below show the percentage of their food budget the average family spent on restaurant meals in different years. The graph shows the number of meals eaten in fast food restaurants and sit-down restaurants.

The pie charts show share of home cooking in contrast with money that spent on outdoor eating during a three decades span. And also, chart illustrates numbers of meals that consumed in the fast foods and the sit-down restaurants between 1970 and 2000.
In general, the most striking information about pie charts is the share of outdoor meals outlays that reached to half in 2000, and also, after 1980 the demand for fast foods experienced dramatic rise.
By looking at pie charts during time, the proportion of home cooking was 90% that is huge, and then after one decade it reached to 85%. but after 1980, home cooking dropped to 65 percent, and finally, it reached the same percentage of money spent on restaurant meals.
By comparing fast foods and sit-down restaurants, before 1980 , sit-down restaurant was more popular than fast foods. But after 1980, fast foods went up sharply and acquire near 90 meals per year in 2000.in addition, sit-down restaurants also increased steadily and hit a little under 50 meals per year in 2000.
