The reading passage discusses with us various ways in which team work in an organization is beneficial for the best outcomes. Advantages provided were that, as more people were involved there would be wider range of knowledge, expertise and skills. Responsibilities is distributed in a team and they share the success and failure equally. It concluded by claiming that team's work is far-reaching and have greater impact.
Where as, the audio clip discusses the cons of group work. Starting with the well known fact that not everyone in the group contributes equally. Thus, in many cases people who haven't contributed significantly towards the projects also take the merit when the project becomes successful. Next, it talked about the divergent ideas the group of people might have which would cost indecisiveness and take more time to move ahead in the project. Lastly, it discussed about how few people in the group might become influential over others and rest would just follow them. It stated that in such a scenario if the influential people said that the idea is creative the group goes ahead with it even if few people oppose it. When the project doesn't turn out as expected or fails the blame is to be shared by the whole group.
