As each of us is different, each of us has different opinions. In this conjecture, the author point is of view is to expose at young age, members of our society, to the idea of cooperation rather than competition; the final goal of this set up is to prepare youth to better leadership in government, industry or other fields. However this argument has a flaw, a world without competition is a world in stagnation therefore a world without leaders.

Firstly, at some point in history of the human race, as fictionaly described in "2001 Space Oddisey" when a human's ancestor touched the black rock and suddenly was able to build a weapon and take control of a river over another group, intelligence came to us. It is since that our intelligence abled us to take over the rest of the species living on this planet, it is our intelligence which made rose over the other species in the great nature's species competition, and from that point on the homosapians control the world. Our world has been shaped by competition, one of the greatest contest of all was the Space Conquest half a century ago between the U.S.A. and U.R.R.S. It is that competition which made the human race advance from all perspectives.

Second, competition is the essence of nature, documentaries have shown that each group of mamals living on this planet need to lead to survive. That is a group of lions, seal, bear etc...each has a leader and to stay a leader, this one needs to prevails over other. It is in no circumstance achieved by cooperation, it's the rules of nature and nobody can go against them.

Finaly, the best way for a society to prepare its young people for leadership in government, industry, or other fields is by teaching them at school and through life experience. As of today there is more management courses offered throughout the various school curriculum. A student studying engineering, economics, marketing etc...takes classes to learn to manage, lead and supervise a group of people...

To conclude, cooperation is not the key to preapre our youth to become leaders. As we saw through this essay, leadership is in our genes, it is part of nature's rules. The only way to prepare our youth is to teach them through school and that they learn themselfes through life experiences.
