The Best way to teach is to praise positive actions and ignore negative ones

Teaching by definition is the act of guiding or counseling to impact knowledge, which has been relative over the years. The statement is linking praising positive valves and ignoring negative valves as the best methods in teaching. A very common example is awarding and compensation of students that has exhibited excellent acts and has brought glory to their institutions, some are awarded scholarships and made the face of the schools in magazines and posters since inception of standard education. To bolster this statement, honest Uber drivers have been rewarded for their generous acts of returning expensive forgotten items. Trustworthy individuals are rewarded with appointment in government and all these examples collectively preached the effects of praising positive values.

The statement attempts to bridge these dramatic events to a reduction in negative values experienced in our society. The assumption is that increasing the rate of praising positive valves negates the rate of negative values exhibited in societies by ignoring them. Looking at the introduction, it would be argued that praising positive values will reduce the negative values in the society which will be strongly regarded as a fallacy. The best method to teach is to praise positive values and concurrently correct negative values creating a strong reinforcement for positive deeds.

However, supporting the statement on praising positive values and negative values preclude the unpredicted multi-personality of the human species. The human psychology is programmed to act differently to situations depending on circumstances, this has created an issue establishing the unpredictable state of humans. To this fact, more attention should be paid to correcting negative values and it is the only way positive valves can be normalized.

For example, the best student in the institution was involved in examination malpractice. The statement said this negative deed should be ignored which is unfair to other honest students in the school and it will create an environment where examinations malpractices is the order of the day and this will have an overhauling effect in corrupting the education standard of the institution and country at large causing an education pandemic of mediocre with good grades. The only solution to this complex problem is to guarantee strict corrections for any form of negative deeds.

In contrast to the statement, we can see how focusing on negative values serves as a better teaching method. Praising positive values and correcting negative values serves as the best teaching method creating a society where a good politician is punished for his involvement in a scandal, the best student is rusticated for examination malpractices, a doctor license is withdrawn for violating his oath.

This last example provides the most hope on how focusing on correcting negative valves provides the best teaching method. Consider the ancient China where corruption was very popular especially in government. This cost China her growth especially economically but using stricter and harsh punishment schemes for corrupt acts especially in government, the corruption is almost wiped out and they are enjoying the effect.

Given the unpredicted psychology of humans, anyone can exhibit positive or negative valves but focusing on correcting negative values first and praising positive values is the only way to achieve the best teaching method.
