Essay topics:

A nation should require all of its students to study the same national curriculum until they enter college

The issue brings class="up">up a controversial class="topic">topic of whether a class="nation">nation should require all of its students to study the class="same">same national class="curriculum">curriculum until they enter college or not. class="it">it has class="been">been a long standing class="topic">topic of contention and class="few">few countries class="have">have class="been">been successful in implementing class="same">same national class="curriculum">curriculum for students in schools class="where">where as majority of the countries still class="have">have not class="been">been able to class="implement">implement class="such">such a class="standard">standard class="curriculum">curriculum in all the schools and hence rely on a standardized class="test">test for their college addmissions.

I tend to agree to the recommendation of implementing class="same">same class="curriculum">curriculum class="across">across the class="nation">nation schools for the students as class="it">it brings every class="student">student to a common ground. No class="student">student class="can">can say class="that">that s/he has a tougher currculum as compared to students studying in a different class="school">school in a different state/city or class="school">school. class="also">also, class="it">it allows for an apple to apple comparison when class="student">student's performance class="is">is compared.

Consider class="delhi">delhi university admission process class="which">which class="is">is based on class 12th results. students with highest % get admitted in the prestigious class="delhi">delhi university. In india not all class="school">school class="have">have class="same">same class="curriculum">curriculum. there are schools class="which">which follow cbse, class="few">few schools follow icse and some schools follow state board class="curriculum">curriculum. class="it">it class="is">is noted class="that">that state board class="curriculum">curriculum class="is">is easier compared to cbse and icse and icse class="is">is the toughest of the three. Now, the students studying in state board class="have">have advantage as their class="curriculum">curriculum class="is">is easy and to score higher percentage in state board exams class="is">is easier and hence their chances of getting admitted to class="delhi">delhi university class="is">is higher. If a country like india implements class="same">same national class="curriculum">curriculum class="across">across all the schools then class="such">such advantage will not exist and every class="student">student will class="have">have a fair chance for admission to top universities.

Similar to admission in class="delhi">delhi university, admission in bits pilani a premier technology insititute in india grants admit to students based on class 12th results. there class="have">have class="been">been instances class="where">where students from state boards class="have">have filled class="up">up bits pilani seats as they class="have">have achieved higher % compared to cbse and icse students. During my schooling days class="also">also I've witnessed students opting for state boards for class 11th and 12th as class="it">it gives them better opportunity to score higher compared to other board exams and hence increasing chances of getting admitted to a premier institute.

class="also">also, an advantage class="that">that class="same">same national class="curriculum">curriculum brings class="is">is going away with a standardized class="test">test class="which">which at times class="can">can be challenging for even bright class="student">student. there class="have">have class="been">been instances class="where">where a good class="student">student who has secured good scores in his/her class 12th has not class="been">been able to score well in the standardized class="test">test and hence leaving out on getting into a good college. standardized class="test">test format class="is">is different than the class="test">test format followed in schools and hence not everyone class="can">can score well in class="such">such tests. class="it">it requires dedicated effort and practice to master the standardized class="test">test format.

In conclusion, implementing class="same">same national class="curriculum">curriculum for students to study nationwide class="is">is advantegous for students as well as faculty and the board conducting examination.
