Students should always question what they are taught instead of accepting it passively

Essay topics:

Students should always question what they are taught instead of accepting it passively.

Without asking questions it is impossible to get a deep understanding of any topic. The prompt recommends that not to accept passively what teachers taught instead of they should always ask questions. In my opinion, I strongly agree with the suggestion and argue that students should always get proper understanding by asking questions for two reasons.

To begin, asking questions is a part of learning it can bring clarification on any highly complex subject. Every subject is not simple as 3rd grade’s math subject, there is a more complex subject like quantum physics, artificial intelligence, and so on. For example, if a student of a quantum physics subject does not understand a highly complex topic during the lecture avoid asking questions to clarify the doubt and accept it passively it could be harmful to his learning. It is very possible to appear some questions from that topic in examination or a job interview if he or she does not have a good understanding about that topic he/she may not be able to answer those questions. Therefore, students should always ask questions if they have any doubts about any topic.

In addition, if students just accept every concept they are taught in school, they will lose the ability to think freely. Research, technology, and creative innovation are the keys to the development of a nation these could make a country more developed and independent. If students lose the ability to think, they will be interested in research, they will not be able to make something creative and would not be able to contribute to innovation and the nation’s development. So, students should ask questions to think actively.

Of course, questioning could hinder learning in some situations. As technology developed rapidly and information accumulates at a high speed, sometimes a simple question may need a long explanation. However, if students do not understand a concept deeply, they could uninterested in learning even they could drop the course. Asking questions is a good habit, it could simplify complex concepts, gives freedom to think independently. So, students always should question instead of accepting what are they taught.
