The line graph illustrates how many times per year fast food were being consumed by Australian teenagers between 1975 and 2000. Overall, the consumption of fish and chips declined over the period, whereas the amount of pizza and hamburgers that were eaten increased.

The most popular fast food in 1975 were fish and chips, being eaten 100 times per year. Apart from a 5 year slight increase (1980-1985), this type of fast food gradually declined in the following years by finishing at almost under 40 times per year being eaten in 2000.

In contrast to this, pizza and hamburgers were less popular in the beginning (1975), by being consumed under 20 times per year. However, this figure changed over the period and the consumption of these two, kept slowly rising in the next 10 years (1985-1995 ). Between 1995-2000, a leveled off period can be noticed for both pizza and hamburger consumption by Australian teenagers.
