The bar chart shows the changes in the proportion of population who live in urban areas in six different regions of the world and in the years 1950,2007 and 2050.
As we can see the bar chart , between 1950 and 2007 the population living in cities in North America had experience the highest percentage and it will be continue in 2050. On the other hand , Africa has the lowest percentage of the population living in urban areas in the years . Although the population increase significantly in Latin America and Caribbean from 1950 to 2007 ,from 42% to 76,in Oceania populatıon had rose slightly , increasing by only 9% .
According to the bar chart , in 1950 , Asian people chose to live in rural areas while european people lived in city . It is surprisingly that in Asia the changes in percentage of populatıon in urban areas will climb the faster than orher countries .
Overall , people began to live in the urban areas over the years .
