The bar chart below shows the percentage of Australian men and women in different age groups who did regular physical activity in 2010

The bar chart illustrates the proportion of Australian people who did physical activity in 2010. Ages are divided into 6 parts and every part consisted of nine years.

From the data supplied, it is conspicuous that the proportions of women were higher than the proportions of men in all age groups except the age group 15 to 24. The peak proportion of men were between the years 15 to 24 and at that period, the percentage reached the 52.8%. After that point, the proportion started to decrease dramatically until the age group 45 to 54. After the proportion hit the bottom as 39.5% within the age group 35 to 44 , it started to increase and the percentage reached to 46.7% for the age group 65 and over. At that point, the proportions of men and women were almost same.

According to given percentages about women , the peak period was from the age of 45 to 54. Within the age roup 15 to 24, the percentage was 47.7% and it showed upward trend to the age group 55 to 64. Within the age group 35 to 44, the percentage differences between men and women was the maximum as 13%. After that, the percentage decreased to 47.1& for the age group 65 and over.
