The bar chart illustrate the proportion of men and women of different age category who practiced regular exercise in 2010. Unit of measurement is percentage.
Overall, it can be seen that the number of men and women who exercised regular increased in percentage, but the number of women remained remarkably high with exception of the teenage boys which remained the highest.
As shown in the graph, the proportion of teenagers who participated in exercise (15 to 20) years stood at 53.8 which is the highest overall whereas, female within the same age range stood at 47.7 per cent. However, for ages 25 to 34, the rate decrease by approximately 5% for both genders.
Following this, age group 35 to 64 were at more similar levels for men and approximately same pattern for women. The proportion of men who exercise always dropped to 39.5 and 45.1 percent. In contrast to this, the proportion for women rose between 52.5 and 53 respectively. The number of women remained the highest between the three age group. Furthermore, older men ( 65 years and above) who did body training in 2010 almost parallel the figure for older women, 46.7% for men while that of women increased by just about 1%.
