The chart illustrates factors affecting employees’ work performance between two age group of 18 to ‎‎30 and 45 to 60 years old in a survey. The personnel department of a company conducted this survey. ‎Overall, the most effective factors were chance of personal development and money for younger and ‎elderly group, respectively. While the least important one were work environment and job security, in ‎turn.‎
Chance of development was the most important factor for young group at 90%, while its importance ‎for elderly workers was nearly half. Another factor was money, which accounted for approximately ‎equal percentage for both group (70%). The proportion of relaxed working environment effect in ‎young group stood at 80%, whereas that of elderly workers was more than twice as low at 30%. ‎Another major difference between two groups was promotion prospects, in which young workers ‎recorded 25% more than elderly. There was no difference for factor of team spirit in two groups.‎
Two least significant factors for elderly and young worker were job security and work environment at ‎‎20% and 30%, respectively. Other factors such as competent boss, job satisfaction, and respect from ‎colleagues stood at nearly the same importance at around 45%.‎
