The chart presents the ranking of 10 nations in the world in terms of electricity generation and usage in 2014. In general, China and United States dominated in both categories.

It is clear to see that United States and China were in the lead with considerable difference. China ranked number one for both the production with 5,396 billion kWh and the consumption with 5,322 billion kWh. These numbers were outstanding as they were moderately higher than that of second place by just over 1000 billion kWh. Nevertheless, United States' figures were also dramatically high with both categories, at around 4000 billion kWh.

On the other hand the remaining countries in the top 10 had much lower level of generation and usage of electricity. To begin with, Russia ranked third with a dramatic difference of 3000 billion kWh in production from the former. Moreover, following up was Japan, then India. Lastly, Korea sat at the bottom of the chart with 485.1 billion kWh for production and 449.5 billion kWh for usage of electricity, which were about 11 times lower than the figures of China.
