Overall, the number of students preferring medicine and dentistry, biology sciences increased over the period as opposed to the reduction of those in engineering and technology, physical sciences. The most popular branch was engineering whereas the least popular one was medicine and Dentistry.
In 1996, computer sciences was chosen by nearly 7500 students that is equal to the value of physical sciences. During the period, the number of students enrolling computer sciences department raised sharply by the percentage of 40 and in 2001 12000 students constitute department. Thus, computer sciences reached Engineering because that dropped steadily when computer sciences showed a great increase. In this period biology sciences increased by 15000 students to 95000 students.
In the first three years, physical remained stable but there was a slight drop in 1999 and it stayed constant at 70000. However, Medicine and Dentistry had a slight rise and climbed to 45000 from 40000 university students.
