The chart compares the proportion of young people in 4 countries who studying higher education in three different years: 2000, 2005 and 2010.
Overall, the participation rate of young generations entering higher education was on the increase, except for country B. It is worth noticing that the ratio in country D was far more popular compared to the rest.
In 2000, country D recorded the highest ratio of young students entering higher education, followed closely by country C, with 60% and 50% respectively. Both country B and A shared a fair pattern, with 40% and 38% noted. 5 years later, three countries are A, C, D experienced an upward trend of students choosing further education, for 48%, 52%, and 63% being recorded. In the contrary, the rate in country B decreased to 39% in 2005.
After a period of 10 years, 80% of young pupils studying further education was dominated by country D. The growth pattern carried on for country A, with the figure stood at 58%. There was no significant change for country C since 2005 as the rate stayed unchanged. Lastly, country B again underwent the same figure in the time frame, with 40% being recorded again.
