The bar chart and table provides the details of the number of population in Japan between 1950 to 2055. The units measured in millions. Overall, at the beginning of period japan population was least and the people aged 65 years or over is also less as it goes the number of population also gradually increases. In the end period, the population will start decreasing but the 65 years aged people and overpopulation will be increasing. On the one hand, the population of Japan at the starting period was 84.1 and the number of aged people who aged 65 years or more was around 4.1 millions as the year progresses the number of population also rose. During 1955 to 1965, the population rose from 90 to 99.2 million. In 1970, the population of Japan crossed 100 million and then gradually increasing till 2005 and the number of people aged was increased from 4.9% in the initial period to 20% with 25.7 million. On the other hand, the number of people started slowly decreasing in 2010 it was 127.1 million and in 2015 it is 125.4 million. In 2035, it predicted that the overall population will be decreased to 110 million. However, the population of aged people over 65 years will continue to be increasing with 37.2 million and the percentage of the total population will rose to 34%. At last, the population will fall under 90 million and the aged people will also decrease by 0.7 million but the percentage of total aged people will be increased to 41%.
