The chart and table below give information about what nursing graduates did after finishing their course in the UK in 2009

The first pie chart illustrates the discrepant choices of graduates after accomplishing their nursing studies in America in 2009, while the second table demonstrates the proportions of people working in different positions in medical service registered concurrently.

Overall, a majority of graduated individuals chose to work in healthcare service. In addition, occupying as a hospital nurse is the most popular choice of nursing graduates in contrast to being a mental nurse.

In particular, about 84% of students who completed nursing courses opted for contributing to the medical sector. While the number of people choosing to continue further study accounted for 8% of the total figure, which was almost two times higher than that of jobless people (4%). Meanwhile, the figures for people preferring other options and working and studying at the same time were equal at approximately 2%.

Regarding the percentages of graduates undertaking distinct roles in the healthcare sector, of five jobs, hospital nurses constituted the largest proportion at around 72,9% compared to only 0,4% and 1,3% in mental nurse and paramedic, respectively. Additionally, the proportions of people choosing midwives and community nurses were relatively the same at around 11%.
