The chart below give information about the highspeed continuous internet connection of households in five countries in 2001 and 2002

The bar chart and table illustrate figures related to households’ high-speed internet connection in five countries for two years, 2001 and 2002.

Based on the charts, during this period internet provision per population is improved for all countries, namely South Korea, Germany, Britain, Switzerland and USA.

As the diagram represents, internet access of three European countries in 2001 was between 3.3 and 3.6 per 1000 people, which is dramatically lower than that of South Korea at 122 and the USA at 93. Despite this, they all managed to enhance their internet provision by 2002, such that Britain, Germany and Switzerland boosted their services respectively by 230, 80 and 120 percent compared to the previous year, leading to internet connections of between 5.616 to 10.89 per thousand people.

On the other hand, United States also provided 170 percent connections compared to 2001 and overtook South Korea by reaching 251.1 connections per 1000 individuals. While South Korea’s internet improvement accounted for solely 20 percent which resulted in 134.4 connections per thousand people in 2002.
