The chart below show the expenditure of two countries on consumer goods in 2010

The bar chart illustrates the amount of money spent on consumer goods (cars, computers, books, perfume and cameras) in 2010 in France and the UK. The unit measured by pounds sterling.

Looking at the chart, it is clear that both the French and the British spent most of money on cars. In contrast, the least amount of expenditure in France was cameras and that of in the UK was perfume.

In the UK, 450000 pounds was spent on cars, which was slightly higher than France (400000 pounds). In terms of books, the British spent more money on this than the French (400000 and 300000 pounds respectively). Similarly, the expenditure on cameras registered 350000 pounds in the UK and that of 150000 pounds in France.

On the other hand, the French spent much money than the British on the remaining goods. Above 350000 pounds was spent by the French on computers which was slightly more than the British who spent exactly 350000 pounds. Neither of countries spent much on perfume which made up 200000 pounds of expenditure in France but under 150000 pounds in the UK.
