The chart below shows the different levels of post-school qualifications in Australia and the proportion of men and women who held them in 1999.

In general, what stands out is that skilled vocational diploma is famous among the men and in contrast women showed the least interest in the particular field. The Australian women tend to like Undergraduate diploma course more than all other given qualifications.

Digging in deeper, it is observed that qualifications such as Master's degree, Postgraduate diploma, and Skilled vocational diploma are popular among males of Australia whereas the majority in Undergraduate diploma and Bachelor's degree are taken by females in Australia.

In contrast, the diploma qualification has a greater proportion of men having an exceptional case in Undergraduate diploma where more than two-thirds (69%) of the diploma is opted by women. Although 60% of men take a master's degree, approximately 45% of men go for a bachelor's degree.
