The chart below shows how frequently people in the USA ate in fast food restaurants between 2003 and 2013

The graph depicts the percentage of people in the USA eating frequently in junk food restaurant during10 years since 2003. The most significant facts to emerge from the graph are that the figure for once or twice a month and that for a few times a year experienced an increase while other frequencies witnessed a decrease.

Looking in details, it is clearly seen that there was a growth of once or twice a month figure, rising slightly from around 30 to about 33 -the maximum number in this statistical data. Likewise, a few times a year figure saw a gradual increase to roughly 15 before leveling off at the end of the timeline.

However, the figures several times a week and that for once a week had a similar pattern. Not only did the former climb to nearly 33 in 2006 and witnessed a noticeable fall to approximately 27 but the latter rose to roughly 33 and then declined to 27 as well in 2013. At the same time, the timeline experienced a moderate drop in the proportion of people eating every day and never in a fast food restaurant in 2006 before remaining stable at around 2 -the smallest percentage of eating frequency at fast food restaurant during over 10 years.
