The bar graph depicts the number of British males and females in further education based on two full-time education and part time education. Unites are in thousands.

In general, the highest number of males and females who pursued part-time education were in 1970/71 and 1990/91 respectively. On the other hand, both men and women pursuing full time education in 1990/91 was the highest among other years.

Moreover, in the case of men, the highest number of men pursuing part-time education was highest in 1970/71 which is 1000000 men. Consequently, there was a decrease of around 100000 men leading to the lowest number of men pursuing part-time education in 1980/81 which was around 900000 men. On the other hand, there was an increase in men pursuing full-time education from 1970 to 1991. In addition, total number of men pursuing full-time education was lowest in 1970/71 which was around 100000 males and highest in 1990/91 which was around 250000 males.

In case of women, the highest number of women pursuing part-time and full-time education was the highest in 1990/91 which was 250000 women and 1100000 women respectively. Conversely, the lowest number of women pursuing part-time and full-time education in 1970/71 which was around 50000 women and 750000 women respectively
