The chart below shows the percentage of households in owned and rented accommodation in England and Wales between 1918 and 2011. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant. Write at least 150 words.

The bar graph illustrates about the proportion of households which were owned and rented housings in England and Wales from 1918 till 2011.
To begin with, by analysing first year of housing (1918), it is clear that, the proportion of rented households (87%) was much higher in comparison to owned (22%). Furthermore, rented accommodation once more higher in proportion (68%) than owned (31%) during 1939. Apart from that, in next two years, the proportion of renting was more in count (68% and 58%) as compared to owning households (32% and 41%) respectively.
On contrast, during mid year (1971), the proportion of both criteria became same (50%). However, in 1981, the count of owned households became increase significantly (60%) and opposite criteria became lower (40%). Whereas, in further years, from 1991 to 2011, the value of owned households increased slightly. However, renting households became down in proportion.
Overall, only during 1971, the proportion of both criteria became constant. However, in other years, their value became change in renting and owing households which were consider in England and Wales from 1918 to 2011.
