The given bar chart provides information about percentage of people who owned and rented their house in England and Wales over at least a 100-year period. Overall, the situation dramatically changed in this sphere, increased the quantity of individuals, having their own places of living, and reduced the amount of human beings, renting their houses.

First of all, in 1918, renting was popular among people totaling almost 80%, while the number of owners accommodations was about 20% respectively. However, the amount of individuals of both groups was matched in 1971. The tendency of growing popularity in having own house was increased, in contrast to renting accommodations over hundred year.

In 2011, the percentage of people with their own houses was at least 65. The popularity of renting was declined in 40%, totaling more or less 35%. Between 2001 and 2011 there were some alterations in trends of both groups: the amount of owner was reduced, while the second group showed a small growth.
